Day I Working Equitation

A cultural collaboration between Greg Eliel and Peter Boglioli from Three Pillars and guest clinician from Portugal, Francisco Cancela De Abreu.  Participants will have the benefit of working with three clinicians, working on various equitation obstacles, culminating in a full course, with a final run of the course to be timed. The session covers the working equitation obstacle approach and technique for both horse and rider while highlighting the traditional styles and obstacles from both countries and their originating fieldwork.

• Cost for Working Equitation Session: $150.00 

• Cost for 3 Days: $400.00 

Sessions - there will be two sessions to choose from:

Morning session: 9:00–12:00   Up to 6 participants.

Afternoon session: 1:30-4:30    Up to 6 participants.

All levels and disciplines welcome, please specify level on the registration form:

Intro: New to WE. Walk, trot obstacles as you feel comfortable.

Novice:  Walk, trot obstacles.

Intermediate:  For horse and riders with experience in WE, or are comfortable w/t/c obstacles.

Day II & Day III

Private lesson with Francisco Cancela De Abreu focusing on a classical approach to respect the horse and its authentic progress.  Attention is also given to the rider's position to create more physical and mental comfort for horse and rider teams to allow for effective aids for clear and efficient communication. Riders have reported they feel a new sense of freedom and artistic expression after working with Francisco!

One 45 minute lesson, booked on the hour to allow for a warm-up and cool down.

• Cost for each lesson with Francisco: $150.00 

• Cost for 3 Days (1 session each day): $400.00

Cancellation Policy:  Clinic will be held rain or shine.  A non-refundable fee of 75.00 per registered session, will be charged for cancellations within 30 days of the start date of the clinic.  A credit will be issued to be applied to any 3 Pillars Equestrian clinic, event or lesson, in the event of horse injury or illness.
